The Voice of the World is a series of five hand-bound art books created during a residency hosted by SCAD Atlanta in their 2026 Spring quarter. Inspired by the burgeoning conversation between theology, wonder, and contemporary art, this work employs the visual language of books as both the personal journals that record experience and the prescriptive or sacred tomes that shape it. Each book explores a different facet of the relationship between self and world, dwelling on the qualities of quietude, attention, ephemerality, permanence, and time each in turn. Central to all of these is the experience of wonder as it reveals the world of things in defiance of the constant abstractions found throughout modern life.
